Hello!
Welcome to my blog…I am Pearl, an aspiring writer. I feel I can express myself better through written words than through spoken ones!
I’m very inquisitive, constantly searching, wanting to widen my perspectives. Currently I am based in Chennai.Writing is like therapy for me.
I BELIEVE:
“If you can tell stories, create characters, devise incidents and have sincerity and passion, it doesn’t give a damn how you write.” ~ Somerset Maugham.
“I think that my job is to observe people and the world, and not to judge them. I always hope to position myself away from so-called conclusions.”~ Haruki Murakami.
Hi! Thanks for the follow! I look forward to your book in the future! 🙂

Pearl, like you, many a writer has felt the same way about the process. I suspect the reason being, because they like to take time to contemplate a little on finding the right word, and writing affords most of us that opportunity. When we speak out loud we often find ourselves searching for just the right word to say, and instead we come up with something having less impact. Time…time helps us express ourselves in the way we wish to speak. Time to think and dwell on what we really want to say, again something not always possible when we speak out loud. Now my blog offers little in the way of enlightenment, but does provide a home for the wayward words that quality writer’s have no need for, and thus are put up for adoption. I take those words that are leftover from the likes of writers like Austin, Hemingway, and Dickens and then turn them into complete fugitives from justice. No wonder my posts never make any sense! Well, all the same, thank you Pearl. Thank you for supporting those poor unfortunate abandoned words—by following my blog. Words (tossed out by quality writer’s) that somehow found a home on my blog—and now I can’t purge them except by way of some ridiculous posts. They will appreciate your visits, as will I. 😀

I like your quote “I think that my job is to observe people and the world, and not to judge them. I always hope to position myself away from so-called conclusions.”~ Haruki Murakami. Judging is necessary, but I leaned to judge “systems” not individuals, unless, of course such individuals identify completely with the system I am judging.

Thanks for sharing your view point. i agree judging is sometimes necessary but we can learn to resist from labeling, evaluating or classifying people based on those judgements. Yes, it is always better to judge “systems”and not “individuals”.

Hey Pearl!
Thanks for the follow.
I know I am a little late in responding to the attention. Apologies! 🙂
FYI I have a friend who was also a hard core believer of Somerset Maugham’s quote and believe it or not, he published his book last month.
I look forward to reading your blog and your book(s) soon! 🙂

It’s good to observe others without judgment. However, we need to have own principles and judgments. Or else it impairs our understanding of others. Speaking the truth in love is necessary for others’ good. It’s best spoken when the person is seeking and prepared to be corrected.
Thank you to follow my blog and like my poetry. Hope you enjoy it 🙂
